Q: At what temperature should I use the mat? A: We suggest starting at 30-50°C. 50°C is suitable for most 30-60 minute sessions. 30°C is suitable for longer sessions on the mat, for example if you sleep on the mat. For shorter, longer sessions, less frequent sessions, if you want your mat to be warmer, increase the temperature to a maximum of 70°C (Note: these are the internal temperatures of the mat and the surface temperature is lower).
Q: How do I install the rug? A: Lay your rug on a flat surface (unless it is a soft rug in which case it can be folded and curved). Plug the controller into the mat, then plug the other end into a power outlet. Press the power button on the controller and set the temperature to the desired temperature. Let the mat preheat for about 30 minutes. Cover the entire mat with a blanket for even heat distribution. The blanket will trap the heat. If your mat is equipped with PEMF or Photon lights, activate these functions just before stepping onto the mat.
Q: Why is the actual temperature of the mat different from what I set ? Why does the temperature change?
A: During the first 20-30 minutes when you turn on the infrared heating of the mat the temperature will start to rise to the temperature set as the set point.
